Why we love dogs?
Dogs, well known to be “human best friends”, give their unconditional love to us. This is an undeniable fact and deeply realized by the true dog lovers. They are totally devoted and loyal to us at all times. In our happiness, they share our joy and fun. In our sorrow, they comfort us and never forsake us. Many, who once become a dog’s owner, changed their lives that no words can describe. Deep in our heart, we love them and know that they have stolen our hearts ♥!

How can we repay them?
We can do this with our deepest love to them and offer them the best for their health and well being. We all know about the sad ending – that one day they will depart from us. Therefore, we have to love and care for them in every moment of their life and to keep them as healthy as possible so that they can live the longest and healthiest life. To this end, we are offering them the most natural food, mimicking what they take in nature, to ensure that they will have the best of health and thus live the longest possible life in a healthy condition.

Initially, we started with only one product, PON Lamb Combo, which is a all-natural freeze dried raw lamb pet’s food. Now we have a comprehensive range of best quality and most natural products, including pet food, treats, nutritional supplements and skin care items, for your selection.

What is ‘All Natural’?

All Natural means the product does not contain any preservatives, additives or excipients.  The origin does not have the various infectious diseases, including Rabies and Mad Cow’s Disease (BSE).

How Natural?

The one and only one manufacturing process it has undergone is freeze drying. This process has preserved the original raw and uncooked condition of the product, thereby maintaining the nutritional values and containing natural enzymes, active constituents and elements of the fresh state. Before export, our products are certified by the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industry, that the production fulfilled New Zealand health standards; the product is of New Zealand origin.

Our freeze dried raw food had been quarantined and certified disease-free by the New Zealand Ministry of Health before it was exported from New Zealand. The raw materials are of human grade and processed (only by freeze-drying) also in human grade facilities. Both the procurement and handling of the raw materials are under stringent sanitary condition.

Hong Kong 

To double protect our consumers, the products were subject to bacteriological testing, analysis of toxic as well as beneficial metals, and nutritional analysis by SGS in Hong Kong. All these undertakings provide the best assurance of the safety and quality of our products.

Raw Food Concept

Why should our pets eat Raw Food?

Dogs and cats in the wild do not eat cooked food; they eat naturally raw food that they can catch in the wild. Dogs, unlike cats, in addition to raw animal parts, also eat fruits and plants in the wild, and can derive a good portion of nutrition from the latter. Our pets share the same genetic make-up as their wild counterparts in the wild and therefore they should eat raw. A good natural raw diet provides them with much better nutrition, leading to better health and longevity.

After the Second World War in 1945, highly processed commercial pet’s foods, both in dried and wet forms, with their highly complex and artificial compositions and additives, were extensively promoted and become the trend and common place in our pet’s diet. Our dog’s and cat’s natural genetic make-ups are not designed for processed commercial pet’s food;  there is too little time for evolution of the genetic materials to take place. This is why health problems arise. We have to go back to nature and bring our dogs back to eat a natural raw diet.

Experienced dog’s owners have found the following benefits when dogs are fed a raw natural diet: Their dogs are generally healthier, have shinier coats and healthier skin. The previously sluggish dogs become more energetic. Previous allergies disappeared.Arthritis has significantly reduced. The weight is better controlled and there is no more doggy odor. Their dogs are living longer compared to those survived on commercial processed dog foods. Their bitches manage their pregnancies better. Much less and firmer stools are produced Puppies develop at a better rate with no quick growth spurts.

This concept of eating raw is not for pets like dogs and cats only, but adopted by people who believe in nature and want to bring their way of life back to nature. It applies to the same animal kingdom. The human ancestors are hunters and eat what they catch in the wild and eat it raw. Human are domesticated longer than dogs,  yet our genetic materials have not evolved to handle our modern diet of cooked and highly processed food within the short span of human civilization.

It is a well-known fact, which is also officially recognized by the World Health Organization, that many diseases including cancer are related to the civilized diet of inappropriate cooking and processed food. This applies to our beloved pets of dogs and cats too as we all belong to the animal kingdom and share many things in common.

The raw food concept is not an invention or monopoly of any individual persons as it sprouts naturally in all those who believe in the natural way of living. However, the Australian veterinarian, Dr. Ian Billinghurst in 1993 proposed the raw food concept for pets in a more systematic way. He called his feeding philosophy the BARF diet, which is an acronym for Biologically Appropriate Raw Food. Reader can search in the internet for more information.

Freeze Drying Technique

What is Freeze drying?

It (technically called lyophilization) is a method of preservation of substances (including food and pharmaceutical products).

It consists primarily of three major steps:
Freezing, primary drying and secondary drying.

1. They are flash-frozen completely to minus 40 degree Celsius. Vacuum is applied to remove the water content from the frozen food directly from ice to vapour without going through the liquid state (a process called sublimation).
2. In the secondary drying process, the temperature is then brought up while pressure is further lowered down to remove the remainder of the water content. Over 90 percent of the water content is thus removed.
3. The process takes more than 24 hours to complete. It is a very delicate process and particularly demanding when we have to ensure that our product remains raw all the way to the final stage.

Why use Freeze dried technique?

Our freeze drying method is able to preserve the original quality and condition of the food. It maintains the original aroma, taste and freshness and nutritional value. The enzymatic and other biological activities and the original size of the raw state are preserved. Once it is rehydrated, the biological activities are reactivated. The pets are eating the rehydrated raw food as if it is in the original raw state.

It is such a delicate and time consuming process and the equipment is very expensive, the cost of the freeze dried food is expensive.

Our freeze dried product is very light, only 20 percent of the wet weight. It has a long shelf life of three years. It does not require special storage; it is just stored in a cool dry place and must not be refrigerated.
